Easts Tigers and Normanby Hounds RLFC are pleased to announce the Club’s affiliation for the 2017 season.
The affiliation will see a number of benefits for both clubs, including a direct pathway for Normanby senior and junior players into the Tigers senior and junior systems.
Hound’s President Mr Mitchell Chambers said “Normanby RLFC and Normanby-Centenary JRLFC are excited about the new affiliation with Eastern Suburbs”.
This relationship will assist us in providing our senior players a direct pathway for progression into the higher levels of senior football and just as importantly enables our junior players’ greater development opportunities as they seek their rugby league dreams, Chambers added.
Tigers Chief Executive Officer Mr Brian Torpy said “ the Club is very pleased to welcome the Hounds into the Easts Tigers family”.
The affiliation will provide a pathway for both Normanby’s senior playing group to progress into higher grades, including the BRL A Grade and Intrust Super Cup competitions, Torpy added.
The affiliation will also provide an opportunity for Normanby’s junior players to gain selection in the Tigers junior academies and junior representative squads, whilst still playing club football in Brisbane’s western suburbs.
Coaching and player development will be a focus of the affiliation, with the Tigers coaching and development staff assisting with the Hound’s player and coaching education programs.
