The Hounds returned to the winner’s circle with a hard-fought victory over Capalaba on a sunny afternoon at Graceville in our second home game of the season.
The boys put together a strong all-round performance, showing plenty of determination and teamwork across the park. Nicky Low crossed for a well-earned try after a fantastic line break from Elwyn, while Brady McIntyre made an immediate impact in just his second game back. Brady was outstanding, scoring two tries and consistently bending the line with strong carries, making a break seemingly every time he touched the ball. It was great to have him back in Hounds colours.
Overall, the team played some quality football and defended well when it mattered most. There are still areas to improve, particularly with our goal kicking, with several conversion opportunities going begging, but the effort and attitude of the group were excellent throughout the day.
Most importantly, it was a great day at Graceville and an even better feeling to get back into the winners circle. Well done, boys.
